Begged for love

I told her honestly
"You are my inspiration and world"
I meant for each word
With head down, I looked forward
She was totally unmoved
And wanted me to prove
Beyond words
And hopefully in deeds
Her silence puzzled me
And I was searching ground to look free
Take her words to know more
show some concrete steps and explore
I don't know
What made her grow
The suspicion and stick to the belief
It didn't provide me any relief
I thought and rethought
And considering what ought to have been done
I found none
And the opportunity was simply gone
