Behind The Glass Poem by G J Salgado

Behind The Glass

She walks through the door
But she doesn't even see him there
Questions why he doesn't want her anymore
She'll never forget the moment she walked up the stairs

It was there above in the second corridor
She discovered that he was there behind the glass
Attempting to revive him but he is nevermore
On her knees she cries for him and looks upon the past

If only she could take it all back like it use to be
For so long she knew that they've grown apart
But she never thought it would end like this, endlessly
She cried for him and yearned for him, for his heart

She lived with guilt for the rest of her life until the very end
Years went by and that moment became a part of the past
Living a long lonely life never knowing how it could've been
