Today is the best day I've known,
Yesterday seemed far too long,
The sky is clearer than I've ever seen,
Could this be a dream, have my eyes beseeched me,
Today I awoke with a smile on my face,
For the first time, I saw the sun smile soon as it seen your face,
Your pear shaped cheeks, your natural almond shaped eyes,
I watched as the sun found its home across the wrinkles of your smile,
Was I dreaming, was today really the best day I've known,
The wind parted your hair so perfectly, not once did my fingers become jealous, as they couldn't have done a better job,
Long strands warmed by the suns touch,
The fulfillment of the simplicity each moment brought,
How each breath we took drowned in the next,
Losing itself upon a single touch,
A familiar stranger that represents the future of tomorrow,
Lost in today, afraid to turn around,
As this moment lasts forever in a moment
