'I've got some issues that nobody can see
And all of these emotions are pouring out of me
I bring them to the light for you
It's only right
This is the soundtrack to my life'
I've been kicked while down
cheap shots in the dark
through dark amber waves of gray
without so much as spark.
Boxing with sadness
murdering desire
never falling from my place
just proceeding to get higher
Climbing the ladder of life
how do you like the view?
Because your beneath me now
and I'm coming up brand new
Skeletons in my closet
and monsters beneath my skin
cant tell where the old me ends
and when the new me begins
I'm not going to lie
I've shed tears, I've laughed and cried
But im tired of being judged
there's a reason its called MY life
Who cares what you think
Sticks and stones was never more sincere
And yeah i'm happy now
In case you didn't hear.
My emotions took a beating
but that only prepared them for war
and now I'm so confident
I dare say I could take more
So speak your childish words
because i don't really care
I mean for all my bad times
you weren't even there
I'm done dwelling in the past
im cleaning out that dark place where i sat
I'm done crying over you.
Besides...I'm so much better than that. :)
