Beyond Dark Corners Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Beyond Dark Corners

Locomotive feelings headed into the night, not having an
inkling of where they're going, crying blindly, looking
for somewhere to relieve the heaviness of their hearts.

Seeing signs up ahead, hoping for the best, but not know-
ing what is really going to happen, fires of passion de-
cidedly moving onward.

Looking for somewhere to let them go, no longer wishing
to carry their baggage anymore in life, picking rhythms,
playing them into the future.

Not seeing or knowing what they will eventually become
beyond dark corners of this night anymore, locomotive
feelings headed into the night, still not having any
inkling of where they're going.
