Biggest Lie Life's Got! Poem by Khushbeen Kaur

Biggest Lie Life's Got!

Rating: 5.0

I thought you would, you dint
I waited all day long
I hope that you wanted to,
And my expectation was wrong

I thought it was obvious, it wasn't
You preferred that over me
I hope that you were helpless
And my eyes were too small to see

Cos I happen to worry a lot
Over petty issues of thought
I hope that they are lame
Yet again
I will be glad to take the blame

The blame of expecting too much
And not being able to see
That its ok to be taken for granted
As the sun in the sky
Or the moon behind

Would it be okay to stay like this?
I heard them say it's not
You can't be sure of sunrise, they said
It's the biggest lie, life's got

Magnificent...there is great wisdom in the details you re-count. Indeed, such is life...Great poem...A 10.
