Biking Around The Lake Poem by Rhonda Baker

Biking Around The Lake

Biking around the lake, wind in my hair
A dozen colorful sail’s, make me stop and stare
Daffodils with orange faces, tiny miniatures of the sun
Muskrat eating grass, he too is having fun
Coasting downhill, easy as can be
Now standing on my pedals, to climb the hill in front of me
We pass a squirrel at face level, standing like a stone
We’ve had so much fun biking, but now it’s time to head home
