Black And White Rose Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Black And White Rose

In my black white,
you have shed colour.
You have opened my heart,
to the possibility of honesty,
the loyalty of truth.
I couldn't imagine in believing such a thing,
a year and ten days ago.
If you were by any other name,
you'd still be as beautiful,
as graceful.
With you in hand,
I feel the world melt away.
My heart is eased,
and I find peace of mind.
You've led me to the conclusion,
nothing is hopeless.
Beauty is so much more,
then skin deep.
You are,
inspiring.
