Black Thought. Poem by Driss Ezzireg

Black Thought.

Rating: 5.0

Some impossible day
You think of it.
Sincerely you think of it.
It seems so easy, so doable.
You think of all the peace you can get.
Not for some minutes, for some hours
Or some days; but for always.
You think of the worries, the hassles of life
That you can get rid of if you go on with it.
If you take the step and get to the other side
Of the border. But you think of the people who
Care for you and who you care for. You imagine
The sharp, insurmountable sufferings that you will
Certainly be responsible for. Then you retract
And move on to some other thought and you forget about it
For a while.
