When sometimes you are feeling lost,
and don't know where you should look,
go to an old shelf I suggest,
and take out a book!

You'll instantly be in another world,
the moment you turn the first page.
It enhances and enriches you,
inside your small own cage.

You can travel overseas or climb high mountains,
or fall into incredible traps so cleverly lain!

They're like constant companions,
able to fit in your pocket!
they never let you get bored,
with tales of enchanted lockets!

Even if you tear them up or throw them away,
they will never-ever hold a grudge.
they will wake you up of stubbornness,
with a gentle nudge!

Your books will be there no matter what,
even of sometimes you are not.
When you don't have anyone to meet,
remember the wonderful friend you've got!
