Are you the one always waiting in line?

Trying harder than ever, still counted number 2,

When I can't find anything to do, looked in every cranny and nook.
I'll just go over to my trusted shelf, and take out my favorite book.

I'll travel to deserted caves, or fall into traps of doom.
...

You hear a voice again and again,
It's not yours it's not mine.
You'll find yourself here sooner or later,
In a place where no one's alive.
...

You might see others better than you,
Always outshined, nothing new.
Failure might be stuck like a leech,
the first place just out of reach.
...

No one else cared, but I did,
cared so much what others said.
Thought my face gave me my character,
couldn't stand the usual mean laughter.
...

Someone just asked me, if I knew you,
I say no escape, no chance to kid,
a million memories flashed through my head,
but I just said I did.
...

Our parents are our world, our life,
without them in the world we'll strife.
Even if they keep us close in our nest,
remember, it is for our very best.
...

When sometimes you are feeling lost,
and don't know where you should look,
go to an old shelf I suggest,
and take out a book!
...

Walking on for miles and miles
Giving everyone forced smiles
Wishing it all was real
But I know something good's near.
...

Wouldn't it be wonderful, if we never grow old?
If we could treasure it all, never let the unknown unfold?
If we could stay frozen in time, living in our best?
If we could always know that we're prepared for what's next?
