Chance Poem by Ishita Yadav

Chance

Rating: 4.5

Are you always afraid? Are you insecure inside?
Are you the one always waiting in line?

Trying harder than ever, still counted number 2,
Never in the spotlight, always someone new.

Are you expected to follow, let the ‘winners' take that prize?
Well break the walls, do your thing, take them by surprise.

You just have to deny when they say ‘no'
Hold on tight, don't you let go.

Maybe one fine day, they'll wake up and find
That all those years, they had been blind

That behind all those layers of trying to pretend,
The real threat was right in front of them.

But by that time it'll be too late
The fish would have already taken the bait

But for all that you have to take the first step
Strip the disguise, believe yourself.

Hold your head high, you'll lead the dance.
Don't worry, one day you'll get your chance.

With the kind of strategy you have delineated, one can come out a winner in the face of odds. Hold your head high, you'll lead the dance. Don't worry, one day you'll get your chance.
