Bowl Of Cherries Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Bowl Of Cherries

The obvious to contemplate.
Thought to digest.
Yet to regurgitate.
Keeps the experience of living life,
On a daily basis kept rotated.
Less appreciated.
And more complaining,
About a redundancy that remains.

Although with time given,
To allow many to do something different.
Some will become rude and indignant.
Disrespectful and defensive.
With it heard from them to say,
They don't have time like others do...
To sit around pretending,
That life to live it...
Can if they wish,
Could be a bowl of cherries.
Without excuses to make.
Or inviting mental negative fits.

Only to hear those looking at cups,
Half filled to kill positive thoughts.
Glued in their minds.
As if stuck and can not give up.
To think of those cherries,
Not for sweetness or the taste.
But their pits they claim difficult,
For them to let go and eliminate.
