Brain Food Poem by Lauren Coles

Video games are a kids best friend,
It's like pulling teeth to drag little kids away from their devices,
Kids don't like school because they think it's a waste of time,
I really like reading,
Reading takes me to a whole new world,
You can see how other people live on the other side of the world,
You can also learn about disabilities,
Some people don't know what they want to do with their lives,
But expanding their minds and eating up knowledge can rocket you up to the big leagues,
Doing drugs will mess with your brain and play games with you.
Reading books can lead to open doors to help people,
I want to help someone come out the other side by providing them with a safe place,
Thanks to everyone who helped our kids learn and grow.
