He died in great pain,
Deathless still and not in vain,
The rest proud remained.

Another excellent Haiku sir! Appreciated the precise expression....................10++++++
'Another excellent haiku', another great comment, thanks Dr Swain.
Three brilliant lines that capture the bravery and courage of a soldier and the pride for serving and protecting one's country. Yes, no death for soldiers for their memories shall ever remain. Brilliantly penned. Greatest brevity.
Thank you so much dear Rose Marie, for such wonderful comments. You are a good poet yourself to understand the second line, but then I felt, would it not be better to say 'As soldier deathless remains, ' On hearing from you I would change it.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
coward dies in pain true soldiers never be faint victory for brave
Thanks dear MB for your three-liner as feedback
