Breath Of Life Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Breath Of Life

One day I will walk outside
& stand still with perfect faith.
Nothing else,
& watch how you reveal yourself.
To learn what makes you smile,
How selfless you are to the birds and
Trees.
I will absorb it all & smile.
The things that make you shine
The brightest,
The things you tolerate while hiding
Your head behind the clouds.
I will absorb it all.
Your quick wit, how you're effortlessly
Yourself & how no one seems to know.
One day soon, I'll step out there
One day soon.
Including fits of rage.
The days declared a natural disaster
where nothing seems to go right.
I'll absorb it all & dream.
Dream of a night you undress yourself
In melatonin stars & shine brighter
Than you ever have,
Your cheeks round and full.
I'll be taken by your presence &
Wish the night to ever end.
Like a dream you hate to end so soon.
All darkness collapses, all that remains
Is you, & the breath of life
You've given
