Breathe Poem by G J Salgado

Breathe

I've come so far from where I've been
So far all this time has came and went
Too many struggles and tears that I wept
It keeps me going to where I need to be
It gets one foot in the door while the other still tries to run away
A part of the past that still tries to stay
She's a far memory
That part of me is just an old time friend
Sets the stage when it comes back again
You've made it back so soon
Where have you been
You remind me of an old cartoon
You still make me smile my friend
A little something to calm my mind
Something more to pass the time
Take a breath, have a smoke; take a break
Have a drink, get a taste; let's seize the day
Wishing everything in life until it comes true
Leave the rest behind it's what we have to do

Straight from heart and deeply emotional ink. Very nice.
