Bring Back Our Angels Right Now Poem by Hebert Logerie

Bring Back Our Angels Right Now

Bring back our girls right now.
Return our children home safely now.
Nobody cares about your politics,
Nobody gives a darn about the ticks
In your shoes, the bugs in your clothes,
The sores in your feet or the crabs in your shoes.
The world ordered you to return our sisters,
At home with their mothers and fathers,
At church with their pastors and vicars,
And in school with their friends and teachers.

Bring back our angels unharmed and in good health.
Treat them humanely. They are our future, our wealth,
Our dreams, our inspiration and our beloved children.
They belong in school, in a safe and wonderful garden.
They do not deserve to be kidnapped or in captivity.
Let them come home, where they can live peacefully.
Africa is tired of suffering. Nigerians want better lives,
Better security and better education. Throw away the knives,
Burn and destroy the guns, the hates, the ignorance,
The stupidities, the bad stuff, and the intolerance.
Bring back our schoolgirls right now.
Return our children home safely now.
