Bringing Back Havoc Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Bringing Back Havoc

Most people grow to learn,
From their own mistakes made.
This is life lived.
To experience without,
Protective interference.
From anyone done,
Believing to perceive...
A sheltering prevents,
Their children will live...
Free of disappointment and resentment.
When they come done to regret.
Life to live has ups and downs.
Difficult to avoid.
Or expect to reject
Becoming annoyed by the truth of this.

But not to free,
Is this reality to face.
When attempting too late to explain,
To those children now grown and older.
Running away as if chased,
Unable to embrace...
A truth to discover they can not erased.
With a bringing back they do,
To where they've been taught to teach denial.
And a created havoc they excuse.
Told with lies to tell and alibis to sell.
As best as they can with added accusations made!
