Without warning
you left.
You left me
heartbroken and small.
You shattered the basis
of my fragile confidence
and tried to make me feel
like it is not supposed to hurt
that it is not supposed to
make me question my worth
and convince me that our love wasn't
as strong as I believed
and that you had known it from the start.

If you knew
then why did you choose to
play with my heart
and risk it being
broken beyond repair.
