Broken Heart
You gave me a broken heart,
I can't believe we fell apart,
I'm now alone,
Just waiting by the phone,
And you know that, Baby,
But you kow I've been thinking lately,
That it didn't have to be like this,
We could have stayed in an endless bliss,
But no,
You thought that we had too much fun,
And said we had to have time on our own which made me run,
I didn't want to see your face,
But now i want your warm embrace,
I miss you more than anything,
I want you more than anything,
But again you gave me a broken heart.
And again we fell apart.

Love is a very fickle emotion Cathrene. It digs deep in the heart, and when it fails it rips holes straight through not only the heart, but the soul as well. This is a sad poem of failing love, and who knows, maybe one day just out of the blue there will be Prince Charming. You never know because it could happen. Thank you for sharing. You are expressing your feelings and that is what poetry is all about. You do well according to choosing your rhymes and saying what you really want to say. The ryhmes don't distract.
