Burning The Sky Poem by Spiritwind Wood

Burning The Sky

Rating: 5.0

You took my love and let me in
only to watch me fall
you held my heart in your hand
just to let it bleed
you gave me everything
except for what I would need

You let love burn from within
then left me here alone to stand
to taste the tears I would cry
you written our love in the sand
only to wash away upon the shore

You gave me your all
when I needed nothing more
only to leave me with nothing
but a heart that wouldn't mend
and left me here torn and broken
will sadness burning the sky

You gave me Rose's painted red
but I only ended up with flowers dead
and love letters you would never send
you gave me what was in your soul
just to turn around and let it go
