But Himself Poem by Dorsey Baker

But Himself

Rating: 4.3

He is standing naked
in his pain
all eyes are upon him
He cannot escape
He is the victim of his passion
He has used up
all of his power
Now stands powerless!
His face flashes disgrace
before him in the mirror
of his reckless behavior
The demons of darkness
have captured him
leaving him with no sense
of pride or respect
No one or nothing can
redeem his life
But himself!
