By Name And Misdeeds Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

By Name And Misdeeds

Once one decides,
A life they live...
Will be on their terms.
Knowing the doing has been earned.
It becomes easier to dismiss,
Heard criticisms to ignore.
Since that weight one had carried,
Has lost its effectiveness.
And no more like before,
Is one concerned.
About that which no one knows.
But God.
Proving to be there.
Every step of the way.
Caring.
With a moving away of obstacles.
By name and misdeeds.
To reveal with them to rid.
