Calculated Strategies Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Calculated Strategies

A disturbance more defined,
Unwinding from its protective shield.
Revealing the beginning,
To put an end to calculated strategies.
Spilling from a mind to find cracking.
Under duress and pressured from deceptions.
Leaving the obvious for all to confess,
Too much is enough publicly addressed.
And has left no more of it wanted.
Affecting delusions,
As a substitution for a quality of life.
Expecting happiness from a craze,
To forever digest.

A disturbance more defined,
Few question its unwinding.
Or where it is found to find.
Although baffling,
Is the why it has been kept protected.
When the mess of it with each step taken,
To divide and conquer.
Only revealed those behind wishing to climb,
Out of gutters to the heights of power.
To control and rule over,
A World to believe they could leave sleazed.
Corrupted and praised.
On a feeding of greed and decadence to worship.
