We cichlid fish are many hue
And size as we do swim around
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
African Journey's where we're found,
In a huge tank, ceiling to floor,
Behind thirty feet length of glass.
Five hundred of us less or more
Viewed by visitors as they pass.
A calming effect we provide
For visitors who watch a while,
As up, down, back and forth we glide.
We bring a therapeutic smile.
If you're having a stressful day,
We can help, so come our way.
