Can You Hear My Heart Weep Poem by Ronald Strickland

Can You Hear My Heart Weep

Loneliness and heart broken,
are my days without you.

My heart weeps to have you near, but
never shows, you the tears.

Can you hear my heart weep! needing
to hold you my dear.

My attempts to get though each day,
to chase my thoughts of you away and
convince my heart everything will be OK.

I try to loose myself in a novel. Sad sad
the stories i read of a love that was lost.

Chapters later, realizing i wasn't reading the novel at all.

My mind had imaged our life's chapters, and the precious love
we had together, that now is lost.

Can you hear my heart weep,
as my soul wonders if our love will be forever lost.
