Children Lost Poem by Ronald Strickland

Children Lost

Tall oak trees carried the cries
of three little children lost.

The cries reached the ears
of a caring stranger who was near.

The children were scared to see the stranger
who heard their cry,

but happy to be in an adults care.
Mothers with tears held their dear
children near.

Mothers rejoicing the reunion
happy that the stranger heard their children's cries,
and returning their children safe,
and a trusting soul was near.
