Candle Of Love

You lit a candle of love
in the dark corners of my heart
Made my spirit glow bright
brought warmth to lonely nights
But slowly the candle melted
the flame began to flicker
and then it burned all out
You had left me all alone
and this time the darkness
was even deeper than before.
