Candlelight Poem by Dorsey Baker

Candlelight

She put candles on the floor
arranged them in the
shape of a heart
and then she lit them
they burned warmly
giving off a very pleasant
aroma
the room was silen
and its only light
was the candles light
she sat down on the floor
in a yoga position
watching over the candles
they flickered wildly!
as if someone was pulling
at them
and trying to snatch them
out
she blew the candles out
one by one
as if
she was putting
her children to bed
