When spring flowers open up
And fields turn bright with color
The air is fragrant under warming sun
It’s a world unlike any other
Cows mosey along the fence
Look up as I go past
I love the carefree country life
Sweet scenes I want to last
Country life moves so much slower
You don’t get in much of a hurry
There’s time to think and ponder
Thin out every day worries
You don’t have busy traffic
Just a quiet country drive
Take your time all year long
Enjoy seasons when they arrive
I love my carefree country life
Where I can hear every bird and bee
Crickets in the evening hours
Country is a world so fresh and free!
Ah, such a relaxing scene, and well writtem. Like the imagery. I've had enough of winter now. Time to move on Great Poem Steve
