Caring More For Others Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Caring More For Others

Rating: 5.0

If you really knew.
Knowing.
What others go through.
Showing.
This to understand.
Knowing.
To give a helping hand.
Without it to be asked.
Or awaiting for this to demand.
As if a task.
For a test you have to pass.

And if you really felt,
What it is you claim you do.
You would be the first one,
On the scene.
You would be the first one,
There to be seen.
And you would be the first one,
Caring less what others think of you.

Many look for attention to get,
To gloat.
And...
Many look for
attention to get,
To...
Showboat done to boast.

If you really knew.
Knowing.
What others go through.
Showing.
This to understand.
Knowing.
To give a helping hand.
Without it to be asked.
Or awaiting for this to demand.
As if a task.
For a test you have to pass.

Too many look for attention to get,
Just to gloat.
And are you,
One of many wishing to...
Showboat and boast.
Like so many these days seem to do.
As if they really care,
About others more themselves.
About others more themselves.
About others more themselves,
Never before to prove.

very true! but nowadays we are not allowed out to gloat and boast as Mr.Trump.. America needs a caring mother and a strong father in one person at this period of time..please be strong all of you, dear friends!
