Cat's Dream Poem by john tiong chunghoo

Cat's Dream

cat
Egyptians' god
Japanese's courtesan
divine or despised
you walk tall
proving the
big dog is
but a coward
its heart
smaller
than your fist
fainter than your sneeze
as you stand upright
mom uses it as a lesson
for little tom
'Walk upright and
the world bows to you.'
i understand why
they buried the pharoahs
in giant feline strucutures
made to last for a million days

Super poem, John. I may be a teensy bit biased here as I'm a cat lover. A wonderful look at the feline nonetheless. The flow of the poem underpins the stealth and agility most cats posess. I enjoyed this very much.
