Catching Train Poem by sharon Genade

Catching Train

Rating: 5.0

The lonely train creeped slowly into platform 9.
One carriage, Llandudno it said.
It was old and tired, rust on its beaten body.
The green paint flecked off the exterior as it give one last sigh before stopping quietly.
The fatigued doors opened lazily, one soul alighted, and rushed on their way.
The lady next to me looked confused and intrigued, "only one carriage? " She said?
The train waited, gently forgiving.
We smiled and climbed aboard.
The exterior was just as tired and sleepy, we sat down.
We smiled.
The train waited.
We waited.
We settled into the experienced interior.
The train comforted us in its venerable stillness.
Expectantly with joyful delight we sat in silence.
"Take us to mountains and seas, please! " we silently pleaded...
The train gave a final shrug and pulled gently away.
