The Mask Poem by sharon Genade

The Mask

Rating: 5.0

The mask slipped today,
It fell into the toilet along with my putrid insides…
It fell all over the wall and floor.
It smashed and fell deep into the bowl.
I flushed it away…
The mask slipped today,
It fell from a dizzy height.
It left me with monochrome dullness, an ache and fury.
All the colours are black and white.
A grey haze covers my eyes.
