Cats Watched The Afternoon Rain As They Waited For Spring Breeze Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

It has rained a lot this week
Today is Saturday and it rained the whole afternoon.
We completed our yearly tax filing in the early afternoon
So, we stopped by a restaurant for an hour lunch.
After eating, we went shopping at clothing stores.
We roamed the Hershey Tanger Outlets
Where I bought pant belts, shoes and dress shirts.
Then, we drove home leisurely in the rain.
Our free roaming cats were waiting for their meal
They wagged their happy tails when I opened the sliding door.
Rain drops danced continuously on pool water surface
With their small and large circles which disappeared immediately.
Two months of Winter had already passed
Cats watched the afternoon rain as they waited for Spring breeze.

CHỜ XUÂN MÈO CHỈ NGẮM MƯA BUỔI CHIỀU

Tuần này trời đã mưa nhiều
Hôm nay thứ bẩy, buổi chiều mưa rơi
Xế trưa, khai thuế xong rồi
Chúng tôi ghé tiệm một giờ ăn trưa.
Ăn xong ghé tiệm áo quần
Tanger Outlets, chợ này Hershey.
Nịt lưng, giầy, áo tôi mua
Thế rồi thong thả lái mưa về nhà.
Mấy mèo đứng đợi chờ ăn
Nghe người mở cửa rộn ràng vẫy đuôi.
Ăn xong, mèo tản ra ngồi
Dưới hiên mèo đợi, ngắm trời mưa rơi.
Mưa rơi nước gõ mặt hồ
Giọt mưa to nhỏ vẽ vòng, tan ngay.
Mùa Đông hai tháng đã qua
Mưa chiều mèo ngắm, chờ Xuân gió về.
