Caustically Acrostic Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Caustically Acrostic

Caustically acrostic

Cheerily i asked for her name
And the answer i got was lame
Unusually she was very brief
So brief she shattered my belief
To make matters worse
I expected her reply to be verbose
Candid but gentle enough
All she said was so rough
'Love who? ' She said
Leaving me hopelessly afraid
'You go back to your wife! '
At that time i was unmarried
Completely by surprise was carried
Reminded of how old i was getting
Old enough to think i had a wife
So i swallowed my pride
Took her for lunch in my ride
In the process she understood
Charlie was, for loving, in the mood

So there is a disguise caustic splash in the story line.... pretty fine till the time you manage to give ride to your loving wife. Lovely poem for the wife of your youth. Well penned poem.
