Change Makers Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Change Makers

If peace to keep it,
Felt to feel within oneself.
And inside one's home.
There would be little need,
For them to convince...
Others minding their own business.
Living next door or on other shores.
That their beliefs,
Faith to follow.
And their lives to live to love.
Would be a better experience,
To accept and appreciate.
What another claims has more benefits.
And that is why they travel,
Distances away from their own homes,
To protest against lives others live.
With a protesting at their doors.
Then to create conflict and havoc.
Left to leave.
Proud to call themselves 'change makers'.
And people of goodwill.
Who are advocates of democracy.
