Child Poem by Daniel Parker

Child

The wonder that is childhood, the innocence and joy,
The loving nature that the world so needs,
The youthfulness and beauty, a bond you can't destroy,
The love that brings a nation to it's knees,

A mother who adores you, it's warming to the soul,
Angelic smiles surround you, make us think,
To see that you are happy, a parents only goal,
The chalice love provides, from this we drink,

Your eyes are bright, like diamonds, the love we feel, so warm,
A special heat we feel each night and day,
Imagine when you're older, the love that we let swarm,
Then maybe you'll adore the words we say.
