How many pleas go unanswered
as their cries echo through the night?
Too many, I am afraid to say
as we hear about child abuse almost every day.
Committed by those who are most trusted,
our guardians of the young
are the ones who defile
the young lives in their care.
What about those who are abused
will they become abusers one day
for the treatment they have received?
That question will remain unanswered
until sometime in future years.

Author's Note:
Although this poem may depict that all child carers are abusers, they are not. Although in the news in England of late there have been several cases in which child abusers have been people who were in charge of children. I wish now to apologise to the genuine carers that are perfectly innocent if they feel offended by my poem.
This poem was written to underline a question do those abused in turn become abusers.

abused sometimes become abusers it is a large problem well written
i am very sure 100 percent that abused will not abuse...only abuses taken as a group or soceity is returned...this is a secret..a hurt faced all alone...can never hurt the same person again...a very good write

I applaud this brave and powerful piece. Child abusers should be hung. Many wouldn't agree, yet the frequency of such offences by either those entrusted to their care, or in some cases the parents or guardians, is unacceptable. I wonder if those entrusted to their care will indeed learn any lessons from the recent tragedies. It seems to me that they are not pushy enough in demanding information, and are too easily distracted. Some of them are just too s**t scared to enter for fear of violence. Something radical needs to be done. Well focused my friend Best Steve
