Child Labor (Funny But True) - Poem by MUSAWIR RAAKH

I AM A CHILD, DON'T PUT ME IN LABOR
THE WAY MAKE ME WORK WHOLE DAY, TORTURE

EVEN A MAN GO TO OFFICE WITH FREE HAND
BUT YOU PUT HELL OF A LOAD ON MY BACK, BEND

WHY YOU PUT ME DAILY IN JAIL
WHEN WOULD I GET THE BAIL

EVEN A MAN WORK FOR 8 HOUR A DAY
BUT YOU MAKE ME PUSH THIS WAY

EVEN MY TEACHERS TAKE PERIOD FOUR
8 PERIODS DAILY, I TAKE WHAT FOR

5 HOURS OF SCHOOL,3 HOURS ACADEMY
NOT ENOUGH SO PUT ME IN HOME STUDY

YOU MAKE ME BEAT WITH STICK
YOUR HARSH WORDS MAKE ME SICK

OH INHUMAN WORLD FOR GOD'S SAKE
I AM CHILD OF 5 JUST GIVE ME A BREAK

WHAT IS MY SIN, WHERE HAVE I GONE WRONG
THIS CHILD LABOR, I WILL BEAR HOW LONG
