Consciousness - Poem by MUSAWIR RAAKH

WHEN I LOST MY LAST HOPE
WHEN NO ONE WAS THERE TO COPE

WHEN I WAS THERE TO LOSE
WHEN NO WAY WAS THERE TO CHOOSE

WHEN THE GAME WAS OVER
WHEN I TOOK THE DEFEAT'S SHOWER

WHEN I TESTED UNTRUSTED
WHEN EVERY HOPE GOT ARRESTED

WHEN THE CALAMITY KNOCKED MY DOOR
WHEN I WAS DOWN ON THE HOPELESS FLOOR

SOMEONE ASKED ME TO START OVER
IT WANTED ME TO START FROM LOWER

MY CONSCIENCE DIDN'T LET ME COMMIT SUICIDE
BUT WANTED ME TO LIVE WITH PRIDE

I STOOD UP AND TRIED AGAIN
AT LAST, I WENT ON TO REGAIN

WHATEVER I LOST, I OBTAINED
BUT OLD FRIENDS, WERE THERE TO BE BLAMED

I THANKED THE BAD OLD DAYS
FOR LETTING ME KNOW SUCCESS' WAYS

That is nice that you did not lose hope and fought it out. Nice drop. (Report) Reply
