Children Poem by Dorsey Baker

Children

Children, instead of becoming
better than their mothers
and fathers
sometimes become worst than them
poor judgment
poor insight
allowing ignorance
to overcome their common sense
turning into a victim
rather than a victor!
turning into a slave of the flesh
when they could have
become a mental giant!
Children, with no sense of direction
or purpose
sinking into the depths of darkness
and despair
Some will rise above their sickness
but some will fall
down and be trampled
by the stampede!
