Chili in the pot
On a cold-cold night.
Batten the hatches,
And hold on tight.

Hats. Scarves. Coats.
Covers for the bed.
Kids take a ride
In the old-red sled.

Chili in the pot.
Yea! That's right.
There'll be chili
In the pot tonight.

And chili in the pot
Spells chilly in the air;
It's downright chilly
Everywhere.
