Christ, Blood, Sacrifice: (Good Friday,2021)



Christ, blood, sacrifice:
As the world is swallowed up
By the abyss. All
Is black as night; dark as loss.
Rain pours down like glass
And bullets from wounded skies,
Over our sinfulness,
Over dreadful Golgotha.
Christ, blood, sacrifice
Should never be forgotten.
In these cut- throat times.
Can humankind be redeemed?
