Christian Born Poem by Phil Daniels

Christian Born

I was a Christian born
Don't point the finger in scorn
I know what I believe
And the future I will achieve

I stand at the chasm of faith
To my left its Jesus I face
For that space I see I dread
Cos to leap I am surely dead

I stand here in deepest despair
As my teachers don't really care
Do I trust in what Christ has done
And cross on His bridge at a run

Despair is a saddening way
When you believe all what men say
So listen to God and His Word
You'll know the truth when its heard

I now know I am Christian born
For gone are despair and forlorn
I walk with a friendly new air
For love joy and peace I can share
