Christmas is the time of the year
when we gather round a fire
together with family and friends,
tell jokes and long yarns,
roasting chestnuts and marsh-mellows
until the dawn breaks.
Christmas is the time of celebrating
with good cheer with everyone
who crosses our path.
Let us hope it continues
long after Christmas has gone
and all through the year.
That is a nice little Christmas cheer...I hope it does continue: o0

You describe here a typical pommy Christmas. Our Christmas is opening wide the windows to let the air in, preparing salads so we don't have to light the stove and sneaking off to the river to swim off the Christmas lunch. It's at times like these that the reality of our different worlds becomes so apparent. Great poem David. love, Allie xxxx
