Christmas Journey Poem by louis rams

Christmas Journey

You've been on a Christmas journey in search of a Christmas love
It's not wrapped up in a box with ribbons, but sent from up above
And it very rarely comes when we want it too, so throughout
The year we feel lonesome and blue.
We searched in the nightclubs, the gyms and the workplace too
Waiting for that love that someday may come true.

When the year is getting close to the end, we search out our
Family and friends and they'll bring acquaintances that they know
To the party that you want to throw.
You'll greet the new people with smiles and cheers in the hope
That you'll find your love for the new year.
Then that one person will walk thru your door unlike the others that
Walked in before.
Both of you feel the attraction like the day meeting the night and
You now know that every thing will be alright.
That Christmas journey that you've been on- "will soon be gone".
