Clean Queen Poem by Paula Glynn

Clean Queen

I am the clean queen
Scrubbing the bathroom tiles
Mopping the bathroom floor
All this cleaning done
Something I never ignore
For it seems a chore
But cleaning you must
Never ignore.

I am the clean queen
Scrubbing the kitchen tiles
Disinfecting the work surface
Washing up the dirty crockery
Taking out the rubbish
Recycling any household
Used items I can
And mopping the floor
Cleaning I never ignore
For a dirty home
Is a sign you're poor,

But no matter the bank account
Having a clean home
Shows great pride
And you live in a house
You don't have to hide from view
From strangers or friends
Their opinions on which you depend.

So be a clean queen
Live hygienically
And environmentally green
Because your home
You know, every day you see
And you will be happy
From spring to summer
Autumn and winter
And every moment inbetween
For I am a clean queen
And hold the golden key.
