Fear raining down
Warnings falling all around
Something evil

The message is clear
Good and evil
turned upside down
Residing in the sideways
Clear and present danger
Abounds

Taking its time
Coming up from behind
Shrouded in darkness
Sucking up all breath
Gathering

Feeling the warning
Trying to explain
Telling everyone
They are convinced
I'm insane

Looking through cracks
Being told nothing to see
Lights burned out
Blinded

Soul killers
Smiling in your face
Whispering in your ear
Handing over fear for peace
Cloaking itself
in Holy places

Fingertips upon Worn leather
Seeing it come full circle

to ending promises
